The Port of Sheerness has invested in first class facilities for the efficient and careful handling of fresh produce, including a quayside coolstore.

With over 50,000 pallet spaces of chilled storage capacity for fresh produce, many within metres of the quayside, Sheerness is an ideal consolidation point, receiving product from all over the world.

We are able to handle both containerised and conventional cargo, and can also provide added value activities, from de-palletising, re-packing and barcoding to box-end labelling, case picking, topping and pallet reconstruction.

The Fresh Produce terminal continues to develop the strategy of a single delivery, direct from port to supermarket, reducing unnecessary food miles.
